In a wilderness setting, artist Kevin Schmidt generates hydro-electricity using a modified washing machine placed in a creek on the edge of a burnt out clear-cut. The electricity generated is used to power a modular synthesizer and light show that performs autonomously. In the work Schmidt plays with many themes including the notion of wilderness, natural resources, the absence of audience, the internet, DIY culture and artistic performance.
